Kelara

The Kelara, also known as Aubos, was the planet where humanity originated in Glastieven mythology. The Kelara was the setting (in the broadest sense) for the Suijing, Maisraln and Mission Cycles, the three cycles that preceded human expansion into outer space on the timeline, and it was the planet on which the Kingdom of Maisraln existed. Older sources referred to it as the "Planet of Maisraln" or "Home". "Aubos" was then coined, and "Kelara" was a later borrowing from the Draconian paracosm, where it had been a poetic term for the known world or the former domain of the Kingdom of Aranilya.

Aubos/the Kelara was Glastieven mythology's fictionalised version of the Earth, with similar gravity, atmosphere, flora, and fauna, albeit with some innovation in the latter two in older Maisraln sources. It had a natural magical field which meant that doing magic was always physically possible. Older Maisraln sources described the Kelara as having two moons, both visible from the surface, with one having a significantly shorter orbital period than the other (and the calendar system being based on the faster moon overtaking the slower one). Later Mission Cycle sources sometimes mentioned "the moon" in passing as though the planet only had one.

One of its continents was called Novaria; Maisraln was in north-east Novaria. To the west of Maisraln was a north-south range of mountains which would be concomitant with a tectonic fault, and in its far north (Víthurkenning) was evidence of a polar ice cap. Novaria was separated from another continent by an ocean, which Maisralnians called the Eastern Sea. This eastern continent was the setting for the Mission Cycle housed the Empire of Palaratos, a competitor to Maisraln, and later the Otsenkan Republic. Climate zones visited in the mythology were mostly temperate or nordic, though a dry prairie on the eastern continent was mentioned in Eithne Lunadelle's backstory.
