Grace Serket
Grace Serket was a magical revolutionary, previously a communist organiser, in the second half of the first century CE, and an important character in the Mission Cycle. Grace joined the resistance in the 40s CE. To avoid working with other revolutionaries, most of whom she regarded as reactionary social conservatives, she became a double agent responsible for infiltrating and sabotaging the Solas, where she was employed as a field agent. She became allies with another double agent in the Solas, Kate Everson, who worked in the control room and was responsible for information-gathering rather than sabotage. She also won election to the Council of Mages and befriended her fellow councillor Mark Haloran.
In 49 CE, Grace quit the Solas to play an active part in the Midnight Uprising. She was horrified by the decisions made by influential commanders, including Evelyn Xerox of the Dorcha, and when Mark told her that he was leaving the Dorcha for that reason and founding a new faction, the Vorsnoir, she joined. The Vorsnoir also involved Rosie Cawthon, Luke Ryeford and Matthew Hall. Grace also persuaded Kate, who knew Matthew, to join the Vorsnoir alongside her.
