(2016 I) Ravanasgatr
“Oh no... it's the Ravens Gate. We are very, very, very much goign to be in trouble if they think we've breached international law. Either that, or... Or, we've one.”
—Gru Rasu, When the Raven's Gate, a historical name for the Ravenasgatr, landed in the Fourth Army's base
The Ravenasgatr, also syled as the Raven's Gate and mistakenly called the Higher History Society (HHS), is an intergovernmental organization to promote international co-operation. A replacement for the ineffective League of Nations, the organization was established after the War in order to prevent another such conflict. At its founding, the Ravanasgatr was composed of representatives from the Evon, Helltuna, Olympa, the Dylon and the Royal Front: now, almost all agencies, government departments, nations and factions are represented. The headquarters of the Ravenasgatr are innacessable and experience extraterritoriality. Further main offices are situated in Helltuna, Olympa and Rasu (to replace the ruined Evon offices). The organization is financed by assessed and voluntary contributions from its member states. Its objectives include maintaining international peace and security, promoting human rights, fostering social and economic development, keeping history in balance and ensuring that the "history books look good", and armed conflict.
The organisation is composed of representatives from species or organisations, not of governments, and the Raveasgatr chooses representatives that it belives are representative of the species in general. The group has more power than the sum of its memeber states, and it operates independantly of standard universal procedure. Officially, the group only has jurisdiction in Oburron and Jenner, although its influence extends to all universes, and it is considered the most powerful organisation that exists.
The modern Ravenasgatr was formed from the merger of the former History Society (the Higher History Society, HHS, the Lower History Society, LHS, and the Recording Office).
