Maisraln, also called the Maisraln Cycle, was one of the eight cycles of Glastieven mythology. It told the story of the Four Great Mages, whose charge was protecting the ancient Kingdom of Maisraln from magical threats. The kingdom, however, had been without a ruler for over a hundred years and was falling into disarray, and these Four Great Mages had been elected young, as their immediate predecessors had been killed prematurely fighting some great threat. It was close to high fantasy, particularly in comparison to the rest of the mythology, and it was technologically somewhere between medieval and gunpowder fantasy. Its key characters were Lyra Felise, Elvar Murchaidh, the Ashen Darkside and Gawyn Harowcal.

On the timeline, Maisraln was set in the early and middle seventeenth century Kingdom Years, with the protagonists becoming the Four Great Mages in 1620 KY. This was 133 years after the fall of the royal government. Politically, the former Kingdom of Maisraln had fractured into the Twelve States of Maisraln, ruled by local lords. Maisraln was the second-oldest cycle of the mythology, created in June 2017, and it took lore from Tom's Draconian paracosm, which started in 2014, and the Order of the Tachi, from the 2016 Acteriendian BHH roleplays. Maisraln was influential on other parts of the mythology; the timeline was originally based on the idea of connecting Maisraln to BHH, and it greatly influenced the Suijing and Crossover Cycles.
